At some point in the future, mysterious aliens invade Earth en masse. There is no destruction, no war; they occupy human bodies in a special way, transforming this Earth, long worn out by human civilization, into a seemingly peaceful and happy paradise. However, there are still a few who refuse to give up their autonomy, personality, and rich emotions and memories, and they wage a final resistance for this. Beautiful girl Melanie Stryder (played by Saoirse Ronan) fiercely resists, but cannot escape the fate of being eroded. A new soul occupies her body, yet Melanie's consciousness does not disappear. The soul, following the orders of the Seeker (played by Diane Kruger), searches through Melanie's memories, discovering the existence of her brother Jamie (played by Chandler Canterbury) and her beloved boy Jared Howe (played by Max Irons). During this process, the initially opposing soul and Melanie gradually become harmonious, and a sudden event forces them to join forces to embark on a journey to save their loved ones... This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Stephenie Meyer.
