2,500 years ago, the ancient land of India was plagued by war, causing immense suffering to its people. The powerful kingdom of Kosala was unstoppable, continuously annexing surrounding small nations. Amidst the shadows of war, the tranquil Shakya country was about to welcome a great life. King Suddhodana (voiced by Kawai Kiyoshi) observed the custom of having his beloved wife, Queen Maya, return to her homeland to give birth, where she gave birth to a handsome baby boy named Siddhartha.
