On the eve of Christmas in a new century, in a restaurant located deep in the American desert, the beautiful Claire (Adrianne Palicki) and her boyfriend Jeep (Lucas Black) are eagerly anticipating the arrival of new life. On this day, a seemingly kind old woman visits the restaurant and utters ominous words, triggering unimaginable bloody conflict. At this moment, a strange phenomenon appears in the sky at the end of the desert, as if heralding the coming of disaster. Soon, a mysterious man in a police car, Mike (Paul Bettany), arrives before the frightened group, followed by a group of sinister-looking creatures. It turns out that with the advanced development of industrial civilization, the spiritual world of humanity has declined beyond measure. Unhappy with this, God decides to send an army of angels to destroy humanity. However, Mike, as the archangel, does not agree with this decision and fights alone to protect humanity's last hope - the child in Claire's womb...
