Hitman Chev (Jason Statham) is set up and his rival, the Rickey brothers, injects him with a deadly poison. Chev wakes up in distress and agony. In search of an antidote, he breaks into a gang stronghold in Orlando but comes up empty. Desperate, Chev heads to Beverly Hills to seek help from his boss, Caretto, who tells him he is responsible for the Tang Kin incident. Chev's doctor informs him that he must increase the adrenaline levels in his body to survive. Fueled by rage for revenge, Chev takes out Rickey's brother at the Prince Hotel and breaks into a hospital searching for related drugs, which attracts a large number of police. Although he becomes a wanted criminal throughout the city, Chev still risks everything to rescue his girlfriend Eve (Amy Smart).
