Amélie (Audrey Tautou) had what others might consider an unfortunate childhood—when her father conducted a health check, he discovered her heart was beating too fast and concluded she had a heart condition, which led to her being isolated from school. Subsequently, her mother died suddenly in front of her due to an accident. Despite all this, Amélie remained optimistic about life.
