A spokesperson for Sony Pictures revealed today that former "Doctor Who" Matt Smith and "Game of Thrones" star Natalie Dormer will co-star in the sci-fi disaster film "Patient Zero." In the story of "Patient Zero" (tentative title), a highly potent virus invades the entire planet and mutates into a new species with severe violent tendencies. A human survivor who is immune to the virus finds himself able to communicate with these mutants and, in order to save his infected wife, he is determined to lead everyone to find "Patient Zero" in search of a cure for the virus. The film will be directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky, who won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film for "The Counterfeiters," with Vincent Newman, producer of the comedy "The Trouble with the Curve," serving as producer.
