Dundee (played by Paul Hogan) was raised by African natives from a young age, making him quite skilled in traditional hunting techniques. In an accident, a fierce crocodile attacked Dundee, who subdued it despite being injured in the leg, and ultimately survived thanks to his extraordinary willpower. Reporter Sue (played by Linda Kozlowski) is very interested in Dundee's heroic story and travels all the way to Australia to write a news report about him. After an exhilarating and thrilling experience in the wilderness, Sue enthusiastically invites Dundee to her "territory"—the bustling city of New York. However, Dundee, who has never encountered such grandeur, feels intimidated by the new experiences and ends up in several humorous situations. Gradually, Dundee and Sue develop feelings for each other, but Sue already has a boyfriend, Mason (played by Mark Blum), and their wedding date is approaching. As the day of parting draws near, both Sue and Dundee cannot hide their disappointment.
