In a psychiatric hospital, Park Yi-soon (played by Jung Ji-hoon) is a compulsively adaptive young man who believes he can steal the abilities and thoughts of others as long as he wears a mask, making it impossible for others to find him. He has always thought that he could steal anything he could imagine. One day, the new girl, Cha Yeong-gun (played by Lim Soo-jung), becomes his new target. Yi-soon discovers that Yeong-gun never eats; her lunchbox is filled with batteries. Yeong-gun claims to be a robot, listens to the radio, and sometimes talks to the lights and vending machines. Yi-soon becomes good friends with this girl who claims to be a robot, steals her heart when she is unhappy, and falls in love with her. Yeong-gun tells Yi-soon that robots cannot fall in love, to which Yi-soon replies, “It doesn’t matter if you’re a robot.” Yeong-gun’s refusal to eat has reached life-threatening levels, and Yi-soon begins to think of every possible way to help her.
