Ray (played by Sylvester Stallone), a bomb expert and former special forces operative of the CIA, resigns due to a mistake. After resigning, he makes a living as a professional hitman. One day, he receives a job from a mysterious woman named May (played by Sharon Stone), who wants him to kill the local mafia boss. In fact, May is the mistress of the mafia boss; she seeks revenge for her parents' murder at his hands. May even uses her body as bait, and Ray accepts the job, leading to a mutual attraction between them. During his preparations, Ray discovers that the mafia boss's bodyguard is his old enemy from his special forces days, Li Te. Old resentments and new grievances intertwine, resulting in a deadly showdown between the two former special forces operatives!
