The archangel Gabriel, dissatisfied with God's focus on humanity, plans a coup in Heaven and to kill all the good angels. To succeed in the coup, Gabriel must gain the support of the soul of a brutal general, whose soul is attached to an American girl named Mary, who is unaware of Gabriel's conspiracy, by the angel Simon. Due to the war in Heaven, souls cannot ascend to paradise for the time being. Gabriel has to descend to Earth to find the general's soul... Thomas, after graduating from seminary, becomes a pastor but, questioning his faith, turns to being a police officer. Upon discovering Gabriel's plot, he teams up with teacher Katherine to protect the innocent Mary. Satan, fearing that this war will affect his reign, complicates matters further with his involvement...
