The unlucky professional Go player Song Tae-sik (played by Jung Woo-sung) is tasked by his gambling-addicted brother to help him cheat in a Go gambling match. As a result, they are discovered by their opponents, and after his brother is brutally beaten and killed, Tae-sik is thrown into prison. While in prison, he leverages his Go skills to gain many benefits from the prison warden and trains under a mysterious master and a gangster leader to develop his extraordinary Go skills and physical strength. After regaining his freedom, Tae-sik disguises himself as Dae-seok and gathers a group of people including the underprivileged Gong-soo, Joo (played by Ahn Sung-ki), and carpenter Heo, all of whom are determined to take revenge on President Oh (played by Lee Byung-hun) and his Go cheating gang, who harmed their brothers. However, the cunning and ruthless President Oh will not easily surrender; after losing a round, he quickly launches a counterattack. The hand of God that determines fate, once obtained, offers a chance to rise from hell to heaven, but all of this will undoubtedly come at a price of blood...
