Shaguruya, a child with the ability of Yin-Yang eyes since birth, suffers persecution from villagers due to their misconceptions about this ability. Those who are fortunate are bought by the church to become holy soldiers for battle, even earning the title of "disaster-reliever" from the public. However, the one who treats human lives as toys, the Corpse God, is ultimately considered a "corpse deity." During a battle, the Corpse God unexpectedly swaps souls with Shaguruya, losing its own memories in the process. After discovering the truth, the Corpse God starts a new life in Shaguruya's identity. It reincarnates in another parallel space, Shinjuku, and collaborates with professional assassin Misaki and informant Kuki to deal with the garbage of society.
