Chihiro, along with her parents, drives to their new home. On a rural road, they accidentally enter a mysterious tunnel—leading them to a strange world—a medieval town. The aroma of food wafts from afar, and as her parents feast generously, they unexpectedly transform into pigs! At this moment, many peculiar, translucent figures gradually appear in the town. Chihiro frantically escapes, and a boy named Haku saves her, feeding her a potion to stop her body from disappearing and telling her how to find the boiler man and the witch Yubaba. She must obtain a job to avoid being transformed by magic. With Haku's help, Chihiro fortunately secures a job as a bathhouse worker. Gradually, she is no longer frightened by the strange residents and learns from Lin that Haku is actually a disciple of the sinister Yubaba. One time, Chihiro discovers Haku injured by a group of white flying paper figures. To save the wounded Haku, she uses a pill given by the river spirit to remove the seal within him and the little spirits guarding it, but Haku still does not wake up. To save Haku, Chihiro embarks on her adventure once again.
