In the wetlands of Camargue in southern France, a majestic white stallion escapes from the abuse of its owner. A young boy, Folco (played by Alain Emery), takes it in and becomes its friend. This film, directed by Albert Lamorisse in 1953, is a representative work of the "poetic fantasy" genre that emerged in France after the 1950s.
