Since the death of his wife two years ago, the middle-aged architect Nagamine Shigeaki (played by Akira Terao) has been living a simple and happy life with his daughter Eimo. However, one ordinary night, their lives are completely destroyed. Eimo is kidnapped by an unknown individual on her way home from school, and her body is found in the wilderness the next day. Shigeaki sees his daughter's body, which has been violated and abused, but is unable to learn the circumstances and reasons behind her death.
