The "Killer's Den" fighting competition in the U.S. is about to begin, with two gangs from the Chicago area vying for victory. One side's ace fighter, the Assassin King Li, is highly regarded. Young Aaron (played by Jackie Chan) runs a restaurant in Chicago with his family. After his father is extorted by the gang, Aaron drives away the thugs but is scolded by his father, as he has always been unhappy with Aaron learning martial arts from his uncle, deeming it unproductive and urging him to learn from his elder brother who became a doctor. Aaron's confrontation with the thugs catches the attention of the second-generation gang leader Peng, who intends to have Aaron fight in the Killer's Den competition. Peng's gang then assaults Aaron's friend and kidnaps his fiancée to coerce him into battling the Assassin King. After failing to rescue her with his uncle, Aaron has no choice but to train hard and represent Peng's group in the competition. Aaron wins match after match, but at the ultimate finals against the Assassin King, Peng betrays him…
