Fang Zhijian (Yue Hua) is an honest auto mechanic. One night while on his way home from work, he witnesses a murder committed by gang member Xie Dacheng (Zhan Sen), and in the chaos, the killer escapes. Subsequently, at the request of Officer Sun (Liu Dan) at the police station, Fang assists in identifying Xie as the murderer. Officer Sun promises to protect Fang and his family's safety until he testifies in court. Xie is arrested at an underground gambling den, and when his boss attempts to bribe Fang to testify falsely, Fang firmly refuses. Soon after, Xie's men continuously harass, threaten, and intimidate his wife (Liu Wuqi) and young daughter to force him to comply. On the eve of the trial, his wife and daughter are kidnapped, leaving Fang no choice but to withdraw his identification of Xie in court, resulting in Xie's acquittal and immediate release. After the trial, Xie is killed by his boss's men while trying to escape. Fang later finds his wife and daughter at a dye factory, but unfortunately, his wife has drowned. Heartbroken, Fang vows to bring the evil-doers to justice. After interrogating Xie's underlings, he storms into the exchange to capture the boss. Mistaking the exchange manager for the boss, Fang is confronted by armed men before Xie suddenly appears to save him, but ultimately falls victim to the gunmen, injuring the boss in the process. Fang then relentlessly pursues the boss and ultimately captures the mastermind in a swimming pool! Soon, the police and his daughter arrive...
