On a sunny day, the Straw Hat Pirates are enjoying a leisurely vacation on a beach. However, their ship, the Going Merry, is stolen right under their noses. A week later, they are still drifting aimlessly at sea. Just when they are in a difficult situation, Luffy and his friends encounter a little thief named Bolod and Akis. The two are planning to go to Clockwork Island to steal the precious Diamond Clock, which the card pirate gang on the island likely stole from the Going Merry. Soon they encounter the fleet of card pirates, and in their first confrontation, they face defeat, with Nami being captured. To retrieve their ship and comrades, and to get the Diamond Clock, the Straw Hat Pirates are fired up to head for Clockwork Island...
