Li Haoran (played by Chen Hou) has an uncle who is the chairman of Da Fa Advertising Company. Although Li Haoran's dream is to become a musician, after several invitations and persuasion from his uncle, he decides to temporarily set aside his dream and join his uncle's company as an English translator. Due to attending a very lively party the night before, Li Haoran oversleeps the next day. He rushes to catch the bus and encounters a girl named Yao Jieying (played by Xing Hui) at the platform. Because there are too many people on the bus, Yao Jieying loses one of her shoes while getting on. Li Haoran picks up her shoe and puts it into his bag. On his first day at work, Li Haoran arrives late, and the agency and the board are anxiously waiting for him in the conference room. To their surprise, the tardy Li Haoran pulls out a shoe from his bag, and the atmosphere in the room instantly drops to freezing point.
