The film is set against the backdrop of the "Byeongja Horan." Thirteen years ago, the loyal minister Choi Pyeong-ryang was exterminated on charges of "rebellion," and his son and daughter, Nam-yi (played by Park Hae-il) and Ji-in (played by Moon Chae-won), narrowly escaped, while Choi Pyeong-ryang fought to the death. Carrying her father's bow and arrows and his wishes, Nam-yi fled with her sister to the home of her father's close friend, Jin Mu-seon. Time passed, and in 1636, Jin Mu-seon's son, Seo-jun, proposed to Ji-in. Feeling sensitive about her identity as a descendant of the Choi family due to her father's past, Nam-yi wished to refuse the marriage. However, Seo-jun's sincerity and Jin Mu-seon's insistence led to a union between the Choi and Jin families. On the day of the wedding, however, the Later Jin invaded Korea. Soon after, King Injo of Joseon surrendered and submitted, and Seo-jun and Ji-in were captured by the Manchu troops. With her outstanding archery skills, Nam-yi began to track them down along the road, seeking to rescue her family. Her elusive sniping and tracking drew the attention of the Manchu cavalry general...
