Zachary Levi has confirmed his role in Sony's live-action adaptation of [Harold and the Purple Crayon](Harold and the Purple Crayon, tentative translation), which is co-written by David Guion and Michael Handelman, the writers of [Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb]. The book "Harold and the Purple Crayon," written by Crockett Johnson, was published in 1955 and tells the story of a 4-year-old boy who creates the world around him with his magical crayon. The book was a great success, leading to six sequels, and Sony previously produced an animated adaptation based on the story.
