The optimistic and easy-going young man, Maugee (played by Varun Dhawan), helps his uncle run a sewing machine store and seems particularly eager to please others. At his uncle's son's wedding, Maugee's antics and attempts to show off embarrass his wife, Mamta (played by Anushka Sharma), leaving her feeling ashamed and sad.
