After Hurricane Katrina, the camera focuses on our protagonist, Al (played by Forest Whitaker), a middle-aged basketball coach at a high school in New Orleans. The natural disaster has caused many local schools to be damaged and unable to resume normal classes, leading many students to transfer to Al’s high school. Al faces a huge challenge—leading a basketball team composed of players from different schools in the quest for the state championship. However, in addition to the arduous training, Al must also deal with conflicts and issues among the students, adding a series of difficulties and challenges. He needs to find solutions to these problems, coordinate teamwork, and motivate the students to overcome obstacles and work towards a common goal.
