Simon (Vincent Lindon) and Frank (Gilles Lellouche) are colleagues and friends in the police department. After a perfect mission, the two plan to celebrate, but on their way home, they encounter a horrific car accident, resulting in the deaths of both men, as well as a young child. Simon, who was driving under the influence, suffers severe injuries and is critically ill, while Frank miraculously emerges unscathed. This terrible disaster causes Frank to lose everything; his wife Alice (Nadine Labaki) ultimately chooses to leave him. Simon becomes a cash transporter and struggles to maintain his relationship with his son Theo (Max Baissette de Malglaive). One day, Theo inadvertently becomes a witness to a gang shootout, putting his life in danger.
