This documents Juan Catalan, a man who was accused of murder in 2003, while he was watching a game at Dodger Stadium with his daughter. Even though Juan Catalan presented his ticket stub, it did not support his alibi. To prove his innocence, he had to find footage of himself and his daughter among the 56,000 attendees at the stadium that day. How could one find their image in such a large crowd? After being imprisoned for six months, Juan Catalan's lawyer discovered a special opportunity to finally prove his innocence. A film crew was at Dodger Stadium shooting a comedy reality show starring Larry David, and they coincidentally captured footage of Juan with his daughter. Nearly 15 years after this wrongful conviction case, it has become a documentary produced by Netflix, detailing how the LAPD used false testimonies and how prosecutors went to great lengths to secure a conviction… and much more. The twists and turns of this story are quite compelling.
