Avinash (played by Dulquer Salmaan) is an ordinary office worker living in a big city, leading a monotonous life from nine to five every day. One day, Avinash receives an unexpected phone call informing him that his father has tragically passed away in a car accident, and he needs to go to a designated location to collect his father's body. With his friend Shokat (played by Irrfan Khan), Avinash sets off, but it isn't until they retrieve the coffin containing the body that they realize the person inside is not Avinash's father; the shipping company has mistakenly sent the wrong body. Left with no choice, Avinash and Shokat take the body to the relatives of the deceased, and along the way, they also pick up the deceased's granddaughter Tanya (played by Mithila Palkar).
