Jack (played by Robin Williams) is an unusual child who suffers from a rare aging disease that causes him to age four times faster than normal. This means that at just 10 years old, he will attend class with children in the form of a 40-year-old. Initially, his classmates do not show much kindness towards this "big kid," and they even play various pranks on him because of his strange appearance. However, over time, Jack's kindness and sincerity touch his classmates, and genuine friendships begin to form in the class. Besides the various misunderstandings caused by his appearance, Jack, as the "big kid," faces another problem: he is mistaken for the principal by a classmate's mother, which leads to her falling in love with him. Of course, what saddens Jack the most is that the worsening of his condition prevents him from continuing his education, and the day to say goodbye to his friends is fast approaching.
