From brightly lit metropolises to sparsely populated deep mountain forests; from vast grasslands to rarely trodden deserts and Gobi; from snowy high-altitude regions to endless plains; from the vast earth to the blue sea and sky... China, this ancient and magical land, encompasses a variety of unique landscapes, nurturing various ethnic groups, as well as a plethora of rare wildlife and exotic plants. This time, through the lens, we explore the beautiful wonders scattered across this land. Following the Yangtze River basin, we observe the peculiar rock formations and forests shaped by karst landscapes; we travel to the tropical rainforests of Yunnan to seek out Asian elephants and Yunnan golden monkeys; we arrive at the Tibetan Plateau, rush to the Inner Mongolian grasslands, climb mountains, and gaze at the western frontier. Here, is the Beautiful China that is both familiar and unfamiliar to you and me. This film is a joint production by CCTV and BBC, taking 4 years to shoot, utilizing advanced filming techniques such as aerial photography, infrared, high-speed, time-lapse, and underwater imaging. It consists of six episodes: "Rich South China," "Colorful Clouds in the South," "Tibetan Plateau," "Beyond the Great Wall," "Realm of the Dragon," and "Bustling Coast."
