17-year-old high school girl Greta (played by Hilary Duff) comes from a broken family. Her mother, who divorced early, now has a new husband, and in order to please this hard-won support, she turns a blind eye to Greta's complaints and dissatisfaction. The unhappy life leads Greta to contemplate suicide. After being sent to her grandmother's house in New Jersey by her mother, her plan for death moves forward, and a list of things to complete before dying is born. On the path toward a generous death, Greta encounters an unexpected love. However, the power of love is not enough to save the life of a girl who has lost hope.
