The story is inspired by one of the notorious haunted buildings in Taiwan, located in the heart of Taipei City. Over the past 30 years, more than 20 murders have occurred here, making property prices much lower than in other nearby developments. The most famous incident was a fire in the 1980s that trapped over 300 people, ultimately claiming the lives of 19 individuals. Another tragedy that contributed to its urban legend is the "Burned Rice Dumpling Incident," where a woman committed suicide by jumping off the building due to personal issues, inadvertently killing a vendor selling burned rice dumplings below. This reputation for horror has made it one of the most infamous haunted houses in Taiwan.
