Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) always has some strange inventions. During an experiment with his time machine, he invited his young friend Marty (Michael J. Fox). Unexpectedly, the doctor was killed by a thug during the experiment, and Marty, in a panic, escaped with the time machine, returning to 30 years in the past. Marty encounters his father George (Crispin Glover) and mother Lorraine (Lea Thompson) from 30 years ago. While searching for Doc Brown from 30 years ago to find a way to return to the future, he also tries to get George and Lorraine together so he doesn’t disappear in the future. However, George is weak, and Marty's attempts to help accidentally make Lorraine fall in love with him. Additionally, the annoying Biff complicates matters, leaving Marty extremely frustrated. Marty finds himself caught between his parents while trying to locate the doctor and figure out how to return to the future...
