The son of legendary sniper Thomas Beckett, U.S. Marine Sergeant Brandon Beckett is tasked with traveling from Afghanistan to the Congo, Africa, to train the local government forces to combat rebel troops. To extract a stranded white plantation owner from the Congo border, Beckett and his team are sent deep into rebel-held territory. After meeting the plantation owner, Beckett's team is ambushed by rebel snipers, resulting in the deaths of all his comrades. Beckett is rescued by hunter Martin and narrowly escapes. Beckett returns to camp with the plantation owner's daughter, Kelly, but unexpectedly faints on the way back... When he wakes up, his father's friend Miller (played by Billy Zane) intends to train him in sniping skills, providing him the means for revenge. However, the Marine-born Beckett despises the "sneakiness" of snipers and refuses training, yet this is his only chance for revenge, especially since he has the blood of a sniper flowing through him...
