Confident in her culinary skills, she often insists on her own opinions, forcing her boss to send her to see a psychologist. Kate's sister has died in a car accident, leaving behind her young daughter Zoe, who needs Kate's care. After her mother’s departure, Zoe becomes increasingly withdrawn. No matter how hard Kate tries, Zoe still keeps her distance from her aunt. At this time, a new chef, Nick (Aaron Eckhart), is hired at the restaurant, whose work attitude is completely different from Kate's, making it hard for Kate to accept him. However, he has the ability to make Zoe, who dislikes eating regular meals, eat properly. Kate has to start seeing Nick in a new light, and as they spend more time together because of Zoe, a subtle romantic connection develops between Kate and Nick, which also significantly improves the relationship between Kate and Zoe. However, they soon face disagreements at work, putting their relationship to the test...
