A recluse encounters an abandoned dog, and together they spend warm and loving times. After being ruthlessly abandoned by his fiancée, Minoru Akakatsu (played by Kei Tanaka) feels despondent every day. To help him regain his spirits, his boss gifts him a large white dog, also abandoned by its owner, to adopt. The dog, once bullied by its owner, can't bark and can only make a "haw" sound, so Minoru names him "Charming." Two souls, both discarded, slowly open their hearts to each other, becoming inseparable companions.
