A romance sparks between a young actor and a Hollywood leading lady. This film is based on the memoir of the same name written by Peter Turner, telling the story of Oscar-winning actress Gloria Grahame (played by Annette Bening), one of the "film noir" goddesses of the 40s and 50s, in her later years. When 57-year-old Gloria Grahame is diagnosed with cancer, a young actor, Peter Turner (played by Jamie Bell), enters her life to care for the dying actress, and romantic feelings begin to develop between them.
