Brave and resolute firefighter Jeremy Coleman (played by Josh Duhamel) is a popular figure in his community. One night, after finishing his shift, he enters a convenience store to shop but encounters the gang leader David Hagan (played by Vincent D'Onofrio), who is taking over the territory with his men. The store owner and his family are killed, and Jeremy barely escapes. As a witness, he identifies the murderer, but Officer Mike Cera (played by Bruce Willis), who knows David extremely well, persuades Jeremy to enter witness protection and assume a new identity to avoid David's ruthless retaliation. However, his whereabouts are soon discovered by David's crew, and he and his girlfriend Talia (played by Rosario Dawson) find themselves ambushed, with Talia suffering serious injuries. The merciless David is determined to corner Jeremy, pushing him to fight back desperately...
