Almost fourteen, Bastian goes on vacation by the lake with his parents, where summer brings both sweet dreams and nightmares. Sharing a room is sixteen-year-old Chloe, radiating the hormones of rebellious youth. She loves to have fun, to play tricks, and is more afraid of loneliness than anything else. She teaches him to drink and smoke, inviting him to dance parties to celebrate. Under her influence, he gradually steps out of his comfort zone as a good kid, facing the anxieties of growing up. The directorial debut of Charlotte Le Bon showcases more than just the sweetness, anxiety, and confusion of budding youth; the deep reflections of the lake, the legends of indistinguishable corpses, and a seemingly dreamlike open ending add a mysterious and eerie color to the marks of summer growth.
