Mike (Sam Worthington) and Joanna (Keira Knightley) are an enviable young couple. Mike has a stable job, and Joanna is a freelance writer. They live in a stylish apartment in Manhattan, with no worries in their lives. During a work party, Joanna notices the new female colleague, Lola (Eva Mendes), acting flirtatiously towards her husband, which puts her in a bad mood, while Mike seems indifferent to his wife's concerns.
