Ray (James Spader) and his wife once shared a loving relationship, but over time, they grew apart. When they realized the distance between them, the rift in their relationship could no longer be repaired. They chose to divorce. Now living the single life, Ray feels extremely lonely. One day, at a lavish and grand banquet, Ray encounters a woman named Lina (Mädchen Amick), whose charm quickly captures his attention. After several chance meetings, Ray and Lina fall in love, and they soon decide to walk down the aisle together. Not only that, but they also have a love child.
