In 1952, during the negotiations at Panmunjom, the ownership of L Heights directly influenced the demarcation of the ceasefire line. Both sides, North and South, launched a new round of bloody struggles for L Heights to achieve more favorable outcomes. At this time, the captain of the South Korean Crocodile Squadron was shot dead by his own men, while the personal letters of North Korean soldiers were secretly sent through South Korean postal routes. The South suspected that there was a traitor at the front line of the heights and dispatched Lieutenant Kang Eun-byo, from the investigation department (played by Shin Ha-kyun), to accompany the newly appointed captain to the Crocodile Squadron. At this moment, the Crocodile Squadron was actually controlled by Lieutenant Kim Soo-hyuk (played by Ko Soo), a former comrade of Kang Eun-byo, and Captain Shin Il-yong. Kang Eun-byo was astonished to find that Kim Soo-hyuk, who once had a scholarly demeanor, had now transformed into a fierce warrior, and the seemingly undisciplined Crocodile Squadron exhibited astonishing combat effectiveness in real combat. Kang Eun-byo experienced the tug-of-war for the heights alongside the Crocodile Squadron, and he finally accidentally discovered clues about the squadron's "collusion"...
