In 2006, a copywriter from an advertising company, Jiang Liangliang (played by Feng Shaofeng), encounters the actress Miaomiao (played by Ni Ni) on the bustling streets of Beijing. After impulsively getting into his car, Miaomiao races against his Lamborghini, appearing brave but ultimately attracting trouble for himself. Due to work, Liangliang and Miaomiao meet again and have a pleasant conversation, stirring up unique feelings within them. The overwhelming sense of loneliness in the crowded city eventually brings them together. They cohabitate in a corner of Beijing, experiencing a subtle sense of happiness that belongs only to them. However, after the illusory happiness fades, cracks begin to appear in their hearts. Liangliang claims to abide by three principles regarding women: "Not proactive, not rejecting, not responsible," and his lingering ambiguous feelings with women, including his ex-girlfriend Meimei, cause Miaomiao to feel increasingly insecure.
