The film is set more than ten years after the end of the storyline of "Avatar," telling the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their children): the crisis has not dissipated, and the family does everything in their power to protect each other and strive to survive, enduring many hardships. Jake and Neytiri have formed a family, and their children are gradually growing up, bringing much joy to this family. However, the crisis has not ended, and the Sully family fights to protect one another and survive, ultimately seeking refuge with the Metkayina clan on a coastal island of Pandora. The clan leader, Tonowari, and Ronal provide shelter for the Sully family; the members of this tribe are natural divers and have formed close connections with various marine creatures.
