The story takes place in the fictional city of Kōzaki, where there exists a special agent organization called "Moon Shadow," composed of agile young girls. Every night, the girls traverse the city's corners under the moonlight, protecting the safety of the city and its citizens. The criminal organization "Mōryō" has been eying Kōzaki, frequently launching attacks; they are the biggest and most challenging adversaries of Moon Shadow. Yuu 桃 (voiced by Anzai Yukari) is a second-year high school student who, despite her otherwise ordinary life, joins Moon Shadow by chance thanks to her unique abilities. There, she meets the serious and meticulous Hanazamomo Yuki (voiced by Numakura Manami), the optimistic Sagami Kaede (voiced by Fujita Akane), and the rebellious and quirky Yachiyo Mei (voiced by Suzaki Ayane), among others.
