Jeff (Jason Segel) is a slacker who spends his days doing nothing and is constantly berated by his mother, Sharon (Susan Sarandon), for being unproductive. His brother Pat (Ed Helms) is doing well in his career and is married, but he is facing a marital crisis with his wife, Linda (Judy Greer).
