Cute little girl Riley (voiced by Kaitlyn Dias) is born into an ordinary family in Minnesota, where she grows up under the care of her parents, cherishing countless beautiful and sweet memories. Of course, these memories are closely related to several companions whom Riley has never met—humanity's five primary emotions: Joy (voiced by Amy Poehler), Sadness (voiced by Phyllis Smith), Fear (voiced by Bill Hader), Disgust (voiced by Mindy Kaling), and Anger (voiced by Lewis Black). As the leader of the team, Joy works alongside her companions to create more precious memories for her little owner. One day, Riley moves to San Francisco with her parents, and the dirty, cramped apartment, unfamiliar school environment, and gradually fading friendships leave Riley at a loss; her negative emotions gradually accumulate, causing her inner world of happiness to collapse. To protect everything, Joy has to take action...
