In 2075, with humanity's continual development of space, space debris has become a social issue. Fragments like abandoned satellites and rocket parts orbit around, posing threats to the safety of surrounding space stations and spacecraft. The debris division, where Hachiro Hoshino (voiced by Kazunari Tanaka) works, is specifically responsible for recovering or removing space debris. Tomonobu Ai (voiced by Mayuki Yukino) is a newcomer who has just entered the cosmic workforce. Filled with enthusiasm, she joins the Technora company's debris division, only to find a huge gap between her ideals and reality, as the members of the debris division seem to be slacking, which profoundly impacts her. This department is also referred to as the "half division," due to the low efficiency of garbage recycling and the lack of importance placed on it by the company, resulting in only half the staff compared to other divisions. She is assigned to team up with Hachiro Hoshino, and faced with this peculiar senior, "Hachikado Hachi," she is initially unwilling. However, through repeated encounters with the cosmos, she gradually begins to understand the work of debris recovery and realizes that her colleagues, who appear to be carefree, actually possess trustworthy qualities. She slowly starts to integrate into the "half division"…
