In a parallel world of Japan, railway nationalization is deeply rooted. Takayama Naoto (voiced by Jun Fukuyama), a student at Kiryu Railway High School, dreams of becoming a train driver for the National Railways and living a stable life. To achieve this, he joins the student railway OJT for training and meets the hot-tempered, violent girl Sakurai Aoi (voiced by Manami Numakura) and the simple-minded, physically strong Iwaizumi Sho (voiced by Satoshi Hino) among others. After struggling to pass the OJT test, Naoto and his friends end up being assigned to the Fourth Patrol Class of the Tokyo Central Railway Police. It turns out that the National Railways has been running at a loss for a long time, with many local lines abandoned for years. Consequently, many organizations are demanding privatization of the railways through extreme means, leading to the formation of the Railway Security Force.
