For some reason, he swaps identities with the warlord Oda Nobunaga, who looks exactly like him, and from then on, Saburo walks the Sengoku era with the dignity of a great ruler. After enduring numerous hardships, he gradually earns the trust and affection of his vassals, and Saito Dosan's daughter Kichō (played by Yūko Shun) seems to develop deeper feelings for him. However, upon realizing that his death is imminent, Saburo is deeply shaken, as history seems impossible to reverse. Meanwhile, Toyotomi Hideyoshi (played by Takayuki Yamada) and the real Oda Nobunaga—Akechi Mitsuhide (played by Shun Oguri)—conspire to put an end to the reign of the Sixth Heavenly Demon. The so-called Honnō-ji Incident draws near day by day, and the fate of Saburo and the Sengoku period is on the brink of final decision...
