William Thwain (voiced by Takuya Eguchi), studying at a prestigious school in the UK, is unable to pay the exorbitant tuition due to bankruptcy. While trying to find a hidden vault at home, he accidentally activates a magic circle that summons the demon Dante Lin (voiced by Takuya Tsuchiya). He claims to be the Grand Duke of the Demon World and the best candidate for the deputy king of the Demon World, stating that William is a descendant of Solomon and the "chosen one" who has the right to choose the deputy king. As a realist who believes in science, William thinks everything Dante Lin says is nonsense and drives him out of his home.
