Fifth-grade student Himeji Wakaba (voiced by Sasaki Shiho) is charming and fresh, but her classmates keep their distance from her. This is because she has been able to see the ghosts and monsters that linger around her since childhood, and she often gets harassed by these "friends." So, anyone who gets too close to her without knowing the situation is bound to suffer. Indifferent to all this, Wakaba accidentally encounters a strange, ball-like creature one day and names it Poko (voiced by Mori Chihayato). To her surprise, the clever and mischievous Poko possesses a magical ability to deal with malicious spirits, which helps Wakaba immensely. Meanwhile, the self-proclaimed skeptic of paranormal phenomena, the spooky homebody Higashi Reiko (voiced by Goto Mai), transfers to Wakaba's class and, through a series of misunderstandings, becomes friends with her. The two once lonely girls become friends, and together with Poko, they will experience many thrilling and eerie adventures... This film is based on the original work by Oshikiri Renko.
